So, I guess there IS one downside to the whole Eat from Your Pantry thing... ;)
I'm in a writing funk, probably brought on by all the changes in our household as I finish up the last bit of red tape for that hard-earned diploma and start a new full-time job (yayayay!)...and help DH with HIS job search (I can now write cover letters and resumes in my sleep).
However, now that things are starting to get on a bit more of an even keel for us financially, we're hitting Mr. Ramsey's Money Makeover rather hard...so Mere Frugality should be thriving. Between our school debt and the past two years of rather difficult financial times, we have quite a bit of work to do...
...but we're aiming to be almost completely debt-free (except, perhaps, for a couple of our biggest student loans) before we buy a house. And have a baby. Nothing like motivation, eh? Wish us luck. :)

End of Eat from Your Pantry
Yay!
We did cheat a little when my MIL brought us a bunch of stuff...some staples and some fun stuff. But we didn't use them for any dinners. Does that help?
Monday: I didn't cook; surprise party for my thesis defense. :)
Tuesday: Herb and butter chicken and rice*/broccoli
Wednesday: Chicken soup (boxed)/cheese and crackers (I was sick)
Thursday: J was with his mom
Friday: Staff meeting
Saturday: Cheddar turkey casserole
We made a pretty good dent in our pantry this month; we are definitely bored...but fine. I've learned to improvise, improvise, improvise...and I'm definitely getting more creative with my cooking. And I'm down 4 lbs. So...hey.
*Herb and butter rice-a-roni with two chopped chicken breasts cooked in. Easy peasy....and super cheap if you buy the rice-a-roni from the bent and dent store. I also use just one chicken breast sometimes if we're low on meat.
